The Rivershed Society of BC is hosting a 3 hour dinner cruise on the Fraser aboard the historic MV Native Paddlewheeler. The dinner is the annual fundraiser for a great program, the Sustainable Living Leadership Program. Every year, ten young leaders are chosen for the trip of a lifetime down the Fraser River. During the three-week outdoor education program, the group travels 1,400 kilometres by raft, canoe and on foot down the greatest salmon river in the world. Along the way they talk to local experts and learn about watersheds, ecosystems and what a truly sustainable fishery might look like. I wrote about one of the trips back in 2009.
More information on the dinner cruise here. Not many tickets left, so act swiftly. No idea why this is underlined, and can’t seem to get rid of it, but consider it important that you buy those tickets now.
