Here’s another basic weaving activity. According to the internet: “God’s eye, or Ojo de Dios in Spanish, is a spiritual craft made by weaving yarn around two sticks that are crossed to form an X. The craft is common in Indigenous and Catholic communities in Latin America, Mexico, and Peru. The Huichol Indians of the mountains made God’s eyes to watch over them, with the center eye representing the sun.” This one was made by my dear friend Kath. I bring it out every Christmas. This year, it is watching over the weaving of my new life. Instructions on how to make one here. Merry Christmas all!
