Penticton Bike Plan

I’m visiting my family in the Okanagan. Read in the Penticton Herald that the City is asking for the public’s input on a community cycling plan. They have invited Andreas Rohl, the Manager for the City of Copenhagen, to speak here on Thursday night at 6pm at the new convention centre. The international expert is in town for Bike to Work Week. So hop on your bike and pedal down. You can ride right into the rear of the building and cruise onto the loading dock. Bike parking will be available on the main floor. Wish I had brought my bike. Maybe my Dad will double me down on his new ride (picture to come).

  1. We will be there thursday morning at Penticton’s bike to work week celebration station to record interviews with local cyclists and the city panner from Europe. Then this will be featured on Shaw TV in the Okanagan. Personally, I am a bicycle commuter and can bike to work daily in Penticton about 11 months out of the year. The city is looking to increase the bike land, and bicycle designation routes in the city.
