Christmas Storms

green tree calmI’m down with a killer flu. It flattened the whole family over Christmas. Dinner was cancelled, but at least we were all together, cozy and warm with plenty of soup, OJ and hot toddies, depending on your preference. In between coughing bouts and across a mountain of tissues, we traded remedies, none of which were working. I dreamed about a tsunami one night; it was coming in at Kits Beach, we had little warning. But when I woke, it was just the flooding in my chest that I had to worry about. So grateful that my family isn’t experiencing ice storms or the after effects of hurricanes right now; my thoughts and prayers go out to those who are. Wishing you all warmth and shelter soon.
