I have been trying to start this little loom project, with not a lot of success. The kit, which I bought at a Christmas craft fair, came with a series of how-to videos, but I still messed it up. I wound the warp around the back of the loom and you are only supposed to use the front. The problem is, I’m a complete beginner and a weaving expert produced the videos. I have emailed the owner of the company several times. The videos are just not clear and don’t show different angles or anticipate common mistakes. I was testing the kit to see how easy it would be to do a workshop with these kits with some of our learners at my workplace. I can see now that it won’t work. You really need a facilitator who knows what they are doing and can work with people individually as problems arise. It’s always best to test out your how-to videos on real beginners to make sure you have covered all the gaps.
