I have many sets of tarot cards. I took a course years ago and was told by the instructor that the cards should be kept in velvet bags. The velvet protects them physically, but perhaps energetically as well. I purchased my first deck of tarot cards back then, a traditional set of Rider cards along with a purple satin-lined velvet bag. It has held up well over the years but it is showing signs of wear and tear. So I am going to make some new bags. I bought velvet remnants and bits and bobs from Dressew, my local fave fabric store. I did some stitching on the machine and will now finish them by hand. I have some gold thread I’m itching to try out.
