Charged on Hornby

hornbycarWhen I was on Denman recently, we popped over to Hornby Island for an afternoon. I had never been and was blown away by the white sandy beaches. They have plenty of salt water around them, but no fresh water lakes as some of the neighbouring islands do. Hornbians (?) rely on wells for their water supply. This is clearly a society concerned with conservation. There was a wind generator at Fords Cove Marina, and I noticed this clever way to keep that battery charged when you fly south for the winter.
