Armchair Artist

I like art. All kinds of art. I am inspired by the range and variety of artistic expressions out there. For example, a friend of mine has a blog about Outsider Art in Canada. I’ve had some experience with making functional art through the Solar Bike Tree and other pieces and so I understand how much work goes into making art. Sadly artists are often not compensated for all the hours they put in. I like working with artists and believe any (sustainability) project or committee is improved by having an artist at the table. I have a few artist Facebook friends and I love following their posts (which, not surprisingly, often involve art). Davide Pan, the artist I worked with on the City Farmer garden gate just posted a very cool collection of “34 art installations that don’t suck” (a blog post by Jesse Fernandez).
